Natinional Greyhound Adoption ProgramNGAP is an independent non-profit corporation registered in the state of Pennsylvania. It has no affiliation with any Greyhound track or other organization. It is funded by adoption fees and donations. Donations are tax deductible. NGAP is a 501 (c)(3) corporation. At our kennel facility we house greyhounds and also board them for vacationing owners. We also have a surgical facility and do over 2,000 greyhound procedures annually, more than any other facility in the United States. Our Adoption Program started in 1989. Its primary purpose is to help find adoptive homes for former racing Greyhounds and to educate the public about them. We built our own compound in Philadelphia to house Greyhounds with full-time, live-in caretakers. Every Greyhound has National Greyhound Association tattoos, and is, of course, purebred. Thousands of Greyhounds are killed every year because they cannot run fast enough to make money. Senior Dog Rescue of OregonSenior Dog Rescue of Oregon is a non-profit group of volunteers based in Philomath, Oregon. We are an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Senior Dog Rescue of Oregon was organized in 1998. Our goal is to rescue older dogs who are homeless and place them with permanent loving families. We prefer to take dogs 6 years and older, but no dog is turned away regardless of age. Our senior dogs come to us from a variety of places. Local shelters contact us when they receive an older dog if they are limited on space. Owners who are moving to assisted living facilities ask us to find new homes for their beloved pets. And, families of deceased owners will often contact us to place a pet who has lost their owner. Our dogs live in foster homes while waiting for the right people to adopt them. This allows us to evaluate the dogs in a normal home environment, and give the prospective new owner/s a very accurate description. Arizona Cocker RescueArizona Cocker Rescue is a small, all volunteer organization with no paid employees, so all funds go directly to the dogs! Donations are always Greatly Appreciated & Tax Deducible! Each of our volunteers works a full time job and has their own family obligations, while we try to respond to inquiries as soon as possible, some times it may take awhile to get back to you. If you haven't heard back from a volunteer within a couple of days, pls feel free to email us again, because that means we did not receive your email. We do not have a facility for our rescued dogs, all dogs are fostered with a volunteer foster family until a home is found. Our network of foster homes spans the valley. We are always in need of additional foster homes, if you are interested, send us an email for more info! We take in dogs that are in shelters throughout the Southwest and are in need of rescue. We are members of the Southern California Cocker Coalition and work closely with other cocker spaniel rescues in California. We are able to coordinate transportation to/from California as needed.
