Founded 1996 by Dr. Jacqueline Metzler, the Pet Adoption and Lifecare Society received non-profit status in January 2000. Since then, we have placed hundreds of cats and dogs into loving homes every year. Our animals are temporarily loved and cared for in foster homes until permanent homes can be found. All of our cats are FeLV/FIV negative unless otherwise noted under special needs. They are adopted out free of parasites, including fleas and internal parasites. They have also had all vaccines for which they are eligible. Some of our animals have incurable diseases and are placed in hospice care where care is given for life if a loving home that is able to care for special needs animals cannot be found.

Based in the suburbs of Philadelphia, we are a rescue organization devoted to finding the perfect forever home for golden retrievers. Please note, we are not an actual shelter. Instead, we are a group of dedicated volunteers who foster the goldens in our own homes and shower them with love and attention until the perfect home is found for them! GOLDENS ARE GRATEFUL ... but even more so the rescued golden who is offered a second chance at a forever home...this is the sole reason that GRAPE was created and moves forward with a loyal network of volunteers that tirelessly struggle to find the perfect home for goldens that no longer enjoy the pleasure of contentment in a permanent, loving environment--- GRAPE was founded in 2001 and has since placed many goldens in forever homes...we continue on this mission and we thank everyone who continues to support the rescued golden. Please note, GRAPE does not adopt to families who have unneutered/unspayed pets. Thank you.

The Adoption Alliance of Springtown is a non-profit animal welfare and rescue organization established and manned strictly by volunteers. We provide the love and necessities for each adoptable pet to grow and socialize until they are adopted into permanent, loving homes. We rescue from the euthanasia lists of the local shelters and only accept surrenders from the public as a last resort for the animal. Pets available through our organization were saved from euthanasia do to over-crowding, medical necessities, pregnancy, or because they were picked up as strays and the owners could not be found, not because they are not loving creatures in need. We are doing our best to save as many adoptable pets as possible while deminishing the spread of over population, disease, and property and personal damage caused by homeless, abandoned, and stray pets.

The Columbia Humane Society is a No-Kill non-profit organization dedicated to providing shelter, food and medical care for hundreds of unwanted dogs and cats each year until a new "forever home" can be found for each and every one. We also offer micro-chipping, low cost pet-food, and private cremation services.
Spay and neuter education is another primary focus and discount coupons are available on our front counter or can be mailed to you directly. Remember, for every human, there are 45 dogs and 250 cats on the earth today. Until we reduce the number being born each day...our job is far from complete.
We welcome visitors, and encourage volunteers to assist us in the daily upkeep of our facility. You can also help walk and socialize our dogs and pet our cats who live in a "pod" environment allowed to climb and play freely.
