Cause For Paws, Inc. is a very small animal rescue organization, located in a rural area in Wayne County Tennessee. We promote the humane treatment of all animals, and spaying and neutering to reduce the overpopulation of our companions. We can not do this by ourselves so we rely on donations from the community to pay for veterinary emergencies, medical treatments, vaccines, "spays and neuters", feed and supplies for the daily up keep of all the rescued residents who will one day be placed in loving and caring forever homes

Cause For Paws is a small rescue group serving the Durham & Middlefield towns in Connecticut. We currently trap - alter - release adult feral cats in Durham and Middlefield - using an in-home volunteer foster care system, we socialize and place kittens in new permanent homes. Because we take these kitties into our homes we cannot take in adult cats and focus solely on the feral & strays from the towns of Durham and Middlefield.

We are always happy to consider loving, responsible families as potential adopters for our rescued Cavaliers. The dogs who come into rescue are of all ages, from youngsters through seniors, with most being adults. While some Cavaliers needing homes have special needs or ongoing medical concerns, most are healthy and their medical needs are taken care of while in rescue. That said, families interested in adopting a senior or special needs Cavalier may have a greater chance of rescuing from us, since these dogs are often harder to place.
We seek to make the best match possible between the rescue dog and the families looking to adopt. To that end, our adoption process is a thorough one.
To start the process, please click below to complete our online application.

To rescue stray, abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs in Central New York, as well as dogs who are deteriorating in regional shelters or are scheduled for euthanasia due to shelter overcrowding. We place rescued dogs into foster homes where they receive needed veterinary care, and emotional, physical, and social rehabilitation on their way to carefully screened permanent adoptive homes. We provide ongoing consultation and support to foster homes and permanent adopters for the life of the rescued dog. We promote compassionate dog guardianship through our public education efforts.

CCK9s has been rescuing homeless pets since 1983, I started out finding kittens new homes when I was still living at home with my parents. It's a one woman opperation here I started rescuing dogs in the early 1990's. In 1998 I had a rescue hit closer to home than anyone would have expected. Toby was one of my Basenji's that was sold to a pet home; only to find out that the new owner's burned him with cigarettes. I rescued and rehabilitated him, and he is the reason I still do rescue today.
