Miami-Dade Animal Services is a standalone department within Miami-Dade County Government. We are primarily charged with the responsibility of enforcing Chapter 5 of the Code of Metropolitan Dade County. Unlike private shelters that have limitations on the number of pets they accept, we accept all animals at the Animal Services shelter. No pets are turned away, and each year, the shelter impounds more than 32,000 dogs and cats. Due to the tremendous pet overpopulation problem in Miami-Dade county, our shelter is constantly overcrowded -- WE NEED ADOPTERS! Most of the rescue groups that you find in Miami, Florida, rescue pets from our shelter, so the pets that they are adopting out have come through us, first. Our goal is to find lifelong homes for as many animals as possible and to provide proper care for them while they’re at our shelter. We also educate the public about pet overpopulation and responsible pet ownership, and we offer low-cost vaccinations and free spay/neuter services for the pets of Miami-Dade county residents. We need you to work with us to find loving forever families for the pets at our shelter!! Please don't give up on them!

I am driven to save as many good dogs as I possibly can. I pay for all the vet work, food, flea control, HW preventative, vaccines, dewormers, toys, treats, beds, and whatever else is necessary for these dogs. Don't think that by adopting from us you do not save a life. You do, because as soon as I place one I can then go to the pound and save another . Please do not be offended when we ask for personal information and references from you; we do not want these homeless pets to return to the same situation they came out of. If you do not see what you want, ASK, there may well be one on death row I know about but am too full to take in. We only take the most stable, healthy dogs. I have to hold a job to pay for saving and caring for these dogs, and stay extremely busy, so please send a detailed email w/references so we can evaluate the situation before we spend hours trying to find you a dog. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart for helping us to save these lovely creatures.

Founded in 1994, MAAN, Michigan Animal Adoption Network, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization for animal rescue in the Metro Detroit area. We frequently engage in special promotions and fundraising efforts. The Network is always looking for new and different ways to educate the public, to raise money to continue its rescue efforts, and to find loving homes for homeless pets. The Network has grown tremendously in the last several years, and continues to do so, hoping to one day make it so all rescue groups work together to help animals.

Welcome to Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL), a non-profit organization that has played a vital role in the Pontiac community since 1951. MARL's mission is to shelter cats and dogs found as strays or surrendered by their owners, rehabilitate them in a stable, nurturing environment, and then find the best adoptive homes for them. MARL also reaches out to help many animals in the community who are enduring hardships in their permanent homes. We provide our "residents" with the right foods, safe and comforting surroundings, socialization and training, daily exercise, and medical care.

Michigan Basset Rescueis a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1992. Since then, our primary goal has remained the same: to find permanent homes for bassets in need. MBR does not receive any local, state, or federal funding. Instead, MBR is funded solely by private donations and fundraising events. Most of the money we receive goes toward veterinary care for the rescued bassets, including any required surgeries, spay/neutering, vaccinations, heartworm teatment and more. Other expenditures go toward shelter fees, boarding, transportation expenses, food, grooming, rescue tags, collars, leashes, miscellaneous fundraising expenses and foster care expenses.
