Genesis Animal Rescue is dedicated to the immediate rescue and follow-up rehabilitation of any animal in need. We are a state-licensed, non-profit 501C-3 group. All incoming animals are given a complete health check upon arrival in their foster home. A thorough temperment test is performed on all domestic animals prior to any and all foster stays or eventual adoption into a forever home. After evaluating individual temperment, the animals then begin the process of healing. Severe abuse and neglect are common among incoming animals. The healing process encompasses both physical as well as psycological healing.
If you are considering adopting a pet from us, please review our entire website before contacting us (EMAIL ONLY PLEASE) Most of your questions/concerns about adoption are answered in full on the adoption info page. Please remember that we are all volunteers and we do our best to respond to you in a timely manner. Your patience is appreciated! We thank you for your interest and wish you the best of luck in your search!

Gentle Touch is a family owned organization. We are a non-profit 501 C animal rescue organization. Our mission is to end the abuse, neglect and abandonment of animals. We are dedicated to saving as many homeless animals as we can. One day at a time, one animal at a time.
The animals are placed into an environment where they can be socialized with people and other animals. They are given vet exams, vaccinations, medical care if needed, microchips, and are spayed or neutered. Then we try to place them in the perfect forever home.

George's Place Animal Sanctuary was established to help create an environment in which animals displaced due to unforeseen circumstances would have a safe haven in which to live. At this time, we have a network of foster families to care for these cats and dogs until adoptive families are found. Our goal is to gain enough funding through private donations and grants to build a facility in which all of these animals will be cared for until placed permanently in loving homes. For animals that cannot be placed due to medical or behavioral conditions, we will provide a loving environment in which they will always be home.

To provide lost, abused, or abandoned mixed breed dogs and cats with a new loving home. We believe that "Plain mutt" hounds make the best companions! Experienced people come to a homeless hound rescue for their new pet and leave with a life long friend. I believe that a dog or cat in a family is truly a family. And those moments shared will last forever.

Our mission is to support and enhance the services provided by the Georgetown Animal Shelter and other local organizations dedicated to the welfare of animals. We will: Raise awareness of the shelter through public education. Increase volunteer participation and fund raising activities.
Be advocates of animal welfare in the community.
Participate in shelter activities that result in the placement of companion animals in loving, responsible homes.
Campaign for free/low cost spay/neuter clinics. Work toward the day when no healthy animal is killed.
We are an organization of volunteers from all walks of life, united by one common goal… the welfare of animals.
While the name implies a Georgetown service organization, GAO’s work and involvement extends into the general Williamson County community.
