Southern California Keeshond Rescue Inc. is a 100% volunteer 501(c)(3) non profit charitable organization that rescues Keeshond dogs from animal shelters where they face possible euthanasia, and from owners who are unable or unwilling to care for them. We rescue and place Keeshond dogs throughout Southern California. Our Keeshond rescue dogs live in foster homes while they await forever homes. Keeshond rescue dogs are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and examined by our veterinarian prior to adoption. Monetary donations are most helpful and are tax deductible.

Formed In 1905 to address the problems of stray "dogs and cats about town" as well as to discuss the "different diseases prevalent among horses" and to "investigate the abuse and fast driving of donkeys and horses," The SPCA has had a long and rich history of helping people and animals in Monterey County.

We accept cats and dogs on a space-available basis and operate on a no-kill philosophy: we do not kill healthy pets to make room for incoming pets. We foster these pets in one of our foster homes until they are ready for adoption. All pets must be healthy, spayed or neutered, and fully vetted to be considered for adoption. If you are interested in adopting one of the pets listed, please contact the individual foster home listed on each pet page

We are a private network of foster homes; we do not have a shelter facility. Our adoption fee is $125 for dogs and puppies, and $85 for cats and kittens. This fee includes spaying/neutering, vaccines, combo testing for Feline Leukemia and FIV (cats) or heartworm testing (dogs), and deworming. They are all current on heartworm and flea preventative. We can only adopt to homes within the metro Atlanta area

We are just starting out right now and we are not going to get our 501 c3 until well after we have gotten some "official" rescues under our belt. We hope to specialize in Great Danes, however we will do our best with what we have.
