The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society provides a haven for homeless and unwanted animals and strives to educate both children and adults about the importance of responsible pet ownership. Through humane education, adoptions of homeless animals and encouraging spaying and neutering of pets, we work toward the day when permanent, loving homes are available for all dogs and cats.

Home I Go Rescue is an all volunteer organization based in the Mt. Vernon, KY. We are dedicated primarily to the "re-homing" abandoned and homeless animals. We are people who want to help as many of these wonderful little creatures as we can. Adoption fees vary from case to case. This way they will have a better chance at getting a forever family of their own. It is so sad that people think that animals can be discarded like trash. They give their love so unconditionally and we need to do the same in return. "Remember spay/neuter please don't litter."

Cairn Rescue USA is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing purebred Cairn Terriers and mostly-Cairn mixes. We are incorporated in New York, but we rescue Cairns nationwide. Our petfinder listings are organized by region: Northeast, Southeast, Central and West.
Our rescue Cairns come from animal shelters and humane societies; others are released to us by their owners due to changes in family circumstances or to the owners realizing that a Cairn is not a good match for them; still others come from puppy mills and backyard breeders where they have been used as breeding stock. Our rescue Cairns are spayed/neutered, tested and if necessary, treated, for heartworm and other parasites, and brought up-to-date on their inoculations prior to their placement in loving forever homes.
We do NOT have a shelter or facility but depend instead on a wonderful network of foster homes throughout the United States who under our officers' guidance evaluate and rehabilitate our rescue Cairns until they are ready for placement. We are committed to rescuing as many Cairns as our funding and number of foster homes and volunteers will permit. To see a list of our available Cairns, please see Cairns For Adoption.

We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3), charitable organization devoted to the prevention of animal cruelty and the betterment of all animals in our community. Our Board of Directors meets monthly to insure these goals are met. All members are welcome to attend these meetings and we welcome newcomers. If you think you'd like to attend one of our monthly meetings, please give us a call at: 859-626-5600
So, what is it that we do? Our current programs are focused on reducing pet overpopulation (thereby saving lives), by promoting humane education in our school systems and encouraging spaying and neutering with our Spay/Neuter Discount Program. Additionally, through our information networking, we can help those having an animal-related issue of any kind, whether it be by offering advice and information, referring services, or sometimes simply by lending an ear.

particularly compassion for domestic animals. The foundation's purpose includes five components:
1. Develop a "euthanasia free" rescue and adoption program by arranging a network of foster care homes for owner-abandoned and stray companion pets as well as adoptable pets that are on death row at shelters and humane societies.
2. Reduce animal over-population by funding and administering an aggressive neutering and spaying program that offers low cost and grant funded options so everyone who needs to alter their pet has the opportunity.
3. Develop in adults and children an understanding of the responsibility people hold toward animals and the training to carry out this responsibility through continued educational programs.
4. Establish a trust fund for the building and management of an animal sanctuary and finding a location for it.
5. Provide supplies and money to pre-approved 501(c) 3 animal shelters to assist when cash flow deficiencies arise.
