We also will take in, on occassion, other small dogs. We do not have a "shelter" and the dogs are fostered in homes along with our families and our own fur children. All of our dogs are fully vetted. Lake Area Partnership for Animal WelfareHow We Operate: Our group is made up of Lake Area residents who by working together to raise funds have committed to helping homeless dogs receive a second chance at finding a home. We operate by holding fundraisers and receiving donations any donations are gratefully appreciated and tax deductable. We are not part of any publicly run facility so we do not receive funds except those that we are able to raise.. Your donations are used to rescue animals, provide vaccinations, heartworm treatments, heartworm preventative, spay/neuter, buy dog food and much, much more!! None of our group receives compensation for the work that we do. Please help us rescue those dogs in the Lake Area in need of help. We can not continue to do what we do without the public being supportive of us. We do not have a phsyical shelter to house our animals. All of our animals are housed in our own homes. Humane Society of West LouisianaThe Humane Society of West Louisiana was founded in August of 1998. We are a small group of volunteers that rescue abandoned, abused or neglected animals. We provide a safe environment for the animals and get them medical care. The animals are evaluated for their health and their temperment, and then put in foster homes until they are adopted. Creole Poodle Club RescueWe take in all sizes of Poodles in need & then place them in the home that is best suited for the poodle according to the poodle's personality & needs and the desires of the prospective 'adoptive' parents. This helps to assure that each poodle finds the right home for a lifetime and is given the love, dignity and respect that he/she deserves. All poodles are up to date on shots, wormed, spayed or neutered, heart worm checked, and groomed before they go to their new home. Our desire is for the dog to become a cherished family member & in return to give his/her family a wonderful & faithful companion/friend for a lifetime. All applicants are carefully screened & must meet certain qualifications before being referred for a poodle.
